Kolkata which used to be a holy place in the sixties and seventies for discourse on cinema, more specifically world cinema, recaptured its past glory at Nandan on 9th July 2023.
Robeen’s Media Shop (www.robeensmediashop.com), a wing of Robeen Ghose and Associates Pvt Ltd. organised a Lecture Session by Ashoke Viswanathan and Sekhar Das on Godard and Bergman.
The award winning filmmakers subtly presented the art and craft of the Mullers of Cinema, and left the audience enthralled. This was followed by a question and answer session.
Ashoke also presented two short films on Godard and Bergman. These films are part of a video essay series called ‘Masters of Cinema’. The series contains the art and craft of 16 renowned Film Directors of World Cinema.
